【摘要】:Thisspecificationcoverssoldermetalalloys(commonlyknownassoftsolders),includingzinc-aluminum,zinc-aluminum-copper,zinc-tin,zinc-tin-copper,zinc-cadmium-tin,zinc-cadmium,tin-zinc,cadmium-zinc,cadmium-zinc-silver,andcadmium-silver,usedforthepurposeofjoiningtogethertwoormoremetalsattemperaturesbelowtheirmeltingpoints.CertainalloysarealsousedinThermalSprayWirebytheelectronicsindustry(asnotedintheAnnexpartofthisspecification).B833coversZincandZincAlloyWireforThermalSpraying(Metallizing)usedprimarilyforthecorrosionprotectionofsteel(asnotedintheAnnexpartofthisspecification).TinbasealloysareincludedinthisspecificationbecausetheiruseintheelectronicsindustryisdifferentthanthemajoruseofthetinandleadsoldercompositionsspecifiedinB32.Thesesoldersincludealloyshavinganominalliquidustemperaturenotexceeding850?F(455?C).Thisspecificationincludessolderintheformofsolidbars,ingots,powderandspecialforms,andintheformofsolidwire,andsolderpaste.Thevaluesstatedininch-poundunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.Toxicity--Warning:Solubleandrespirableformsofcadmiummaybeharmfultohumanhealthandtheenvironmentincertainformsandconcentrations.Therefore,ingestionandinhalationofcadmiumshouldbecontrolledundertheappropriateregulationsoftheU.S.OccupationalSafetyandHealthAdministration(OSHA).Cadmium-containingalloysandcoatingsshouldnotbeusedonarticlesthatwillcontactfoodorbeverages,orfordentalandotherequipmentthatisnormallyinsertedinthemouth.Similarly,ifarticlesusingcadmium-containingalloysorcoatingsarewelded,soldered,brazed,ground,flame-cut,orotherwiseheatedduringfabrication,adequateventilationmustbeprovidedtomaintainoccupationalcadmiumexposurebelowtheOSHAPermissibleExposureLevel(PEL).Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.ItistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtobecomefamiliarwithallhazardsincludingthoseidentifiedintheappropriateMaterialDataSheetforthisproduct/materialasprovidedbythemanufacturer,toestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpractices,anddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
